This website is devoted to the answer of who was the victor in the age old question of who exactly created Calculus.
The debate is between Sir Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz. Leibniz published his findings first, however Newton was shown
to have developed the theory of Calculus years before Leibniz's Calculus was published.
So what exactly is Calculus? Calculus is a form of mathematics that involves looking at basic objects of our universe
in terms of functions and examining what changes the rate of change, volume or areas of these objects. Calculus is in fluxions
and differentials.
Calculus orinated in the 17th century. Supporters of Leibniz would argue that he published information on calculus first
in 1684 and then a more extensive amount of information about differential calculus in Acta Eruditorum, a paper written about
integral calculus. Newton fans however would argue otherwise due to the fact that newton created the binomial theorem in 1665
which led to the discovery of calculus. It has also been said that neither Newton nor Leibniz discovered Calculus but that
they simply expanded upon documents from previous sources.
